Gail Montgomery ? President

Ms. Montgomery is President and Chief Executive Officer of Nutrition 21 and experienced in turnarounds, new business development, management and product innovation. Ms. Montgomery has held senior executive positions in the health and nutrition products industries for more than two decades. She has served as President and CEO of Diet Workshop, one of the country's first diet franchise networks, and as President of Fresh n' Fit, a health food company, providing gourmet nutritionally balanced meals targeted to weight management. She was Founder and President of Health Advantage Consulting, a business-consulting firm, serving the physician and diet franchise markets and Owner/Operator of Personal Profiles, a fitness training facility. Ms. Montgomery has a BA in English and Communications from Rutgers University .

Connie Whitaker - Vice President

Ms. Whitaker has been active in the health industry for the last 20 years. She is a complementary medical and health care center administrator, a mother and a respected advocate for children's issues in both health and education.

Bruce Bouché, DC ? Secretary/Treasurer

Dr. Bouché, Vice President of Global Nutraceuticals for Endomatrix, Inc. joined the company in the third quarter of 2002 as the company's chief marketing strategist for global nutraceuticals. A veteran in the nutraceutical industry, Dr. Bouché spent eight years in business development with the Capsugel Division of Pfizer. His primary focus is formalizing the company's go-to-market strategy and implementing a US, European and J apanese multi-channel distribution plan with the support of Pfizer's Capsugel Division's global business development team.

Heather Berg ? Board Member

Ms. Berg is the founder of Berg Recruiting Naturally, a placement firm serving the Natural Products industry. Ms. Berg has dedicated her life to working with and supporting the best of Natural Products companies with the highest qualified professionals available. Through her work, Ms. Berg has created an extensive network of contacts and colleagues in the Natural Products field. Ms. Berg has lived, traveled and worked in over 30 countries.

J ames M. Blum, Ph.D. ? Board Member Dr. Blum is CEO of Marshall-Blum, a healthcare and consulting and research firm, specializing in clinical trials, advanced methods of data analysis, and outcomes-based solutions. Dr. Blum holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy in Clinical Outcomes Research from the University of Maine . He also holds a M.S. in Regulatory Biology and a M.S. in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Previously, Dr. Blum was Director of Healthcare Research at Eastern Maine Medical Center .

John B. Carey, J r. - Board Member
Mr. Carey is a Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at the U.S. Trust Corporation, a Charles Schwab Company. He has an M.B.A. in Finance from Pennsylvania State University , and began his business career with U.S. Trust Corporation 26 years ago.

Hyla Cass, M.D. ? Board Member

Dr. Cass is an oft-quoted innovator and expert in the field of integrative medicine and psychiatry, combining the best of leading-edge natural medicine with the modern science, in her clinical practice, writings, lectures, and nationwide media appearances. She is Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA School of Medicine and author of numerous books including St. J ohn's Wort: Nature's Blues Buster , Natural Highs: Supplements, Nutrition and Mind-Body Techniques   and  8 Weeks to Vibrant Health . A member of the Medical Advisory Board of the Health Sciences Institute and Taste for Life Magazine , she is also Associate Editor of Total Health and serves on the board of California Citizens for Health. As past president of The Healthy Foundation from 2001 to 2004, Dr. Cass served with distinction advancing the foundation to early acclaim and success."
